Sorry guy's...Im a new b...sort of. just got a pro 2055, and either I'm an idiot or this is a nightmare...I had it pre programmed, and in 2 days it "lost" everything...the ppl at radio shack dont know how to fix it, I took it to work, played around, and it all seemed to "come back" (the memory)...I was happy, for an hour. Brought it home, it was fine for all of 5 minutes, and now says all channels locked out. I went thru and did what the manual said; and it tells me there is no locked out anything. But when I hit the scan button, it goes right back to all channels locked out. And to boot, now when I hit manual, then mode, it acts like it has no motorola mode--again, it did this the first time too. I even tried to reset it, to no avail. The tech line dosn't know what the problem is, and the other r shacks around here dont have any other models in until saturday...what am I doing wrong?? Any help very much appreciated...

You may have disabled all the banks. While in scan mode, try pushing some of the number keys (which represent banks). Pushing them toggles the corresponding bank on, and off. If they're all off, you will get a message like you are describing.

thank you for replying. :). I have tried that, it just turns them off and on, but still does nothing, the all channels locked out remains. I dont know what else to do...

"all channels locked out" = nothing programmed into scanner

Download and use Win97 and that way you will have a "backup" of your data.

It's possible you have a defective one. Return it for a replacement.
