I have a ICOM PCR 1500 Base scanner (computer controlled) I have had no problems whatsoever, until recently. I switched on and found every frequency I had entered and used for years, had vanished. Can anyone help me to get them back please?. Thanking you in anticipation. namwen

Not much to go on here.

Did you try a system restore to a earlier date when it was working ?

In windows if you do a system restore

click on start buttun
click on all programs
click on accessiories
click on system tools
click on system restore
click on choose a different restore point
click on next
click on show more restore points
you will see different dates in a list format telling you what was installed on a given date.
choose a date when you think icom was working .
click next
click finish
this will restore everything on your computer to that date and time.
you can always undo this restore if it does not work.

Proceed at your own risk if you are not comfortable working in windows.

You might also check the yahoo group for this radio and try asking question over there.

A final idea is check your recycle bin maybe the file is in there .

Good luck hope you get it working.

Vanished frequencies

Thanks n2pqq Last night my son managed to get the vanished frequencies back. The problem was something to do with memory. I have saved your directions on restoring whatever and I am much obliged Its nice to know that there are people like yourself, who use this site, and are willing to help out. Thank you once again. Best Regards. namwen.
