Icom R6 - Disable Power Button Beep?

I reset my R6, and once again I get the little two-tone beep when I power the R6 on/off. I had this disabled before, but I can't remember how I did it. The BEEP set menu item is currently OFF.

I scoured the manual and of course can't find anything related. Help?

If it is possible to disable the beep I would like to know how.
My trick is to turn the volume down before turning off.

Go into the menu and look for BEEPLV. You should then be able to adjust the Beep Level to 0 using the volume arrows.

Yes, that's it. I made the mistake of turning the BEEPLV so low it said VOLUME. That sets the beep level to track the volume controls.

Aarrgh, that's the same thing I did!

I also incorrectly assumed the level didn't mean squat if BEEP was off, which is true, but obviously that's just for keypad beeps.
