Anyone else having issues setting up a trunk system in this program . Conventional and Custom Search settings work . When I go to set up a trunk system it defaults to a conventional setting . Any help would be appreciated . Thanks

So you are trying to CREATE a new system in this program? I've never done that, always used FreeSCAN (by one of your countrymen <g>) to do that and used ID Tracker to monitor/log the scanning.

Other than "import from RR" don't see (looking quickly) how to create systems.

Maybe more information on what you're trying to do?

Thanks for the reply Tom . I entered the trunked system manualy into the scanner and then started the program . Instead of the program setting it as trunked it shows the systems as conventional when I go to edit it .

I went in to settings on mine and as far as I can tell, all are correct (conventional showing as such, others that are trunked are showing as that). This was from the systems display, in the right column you can see what ID Tracker thinks the system is. I even went in to a few with the edit button and all those were displaying as trunked.

I guess I should ask "are you SURE it's not conventional in the radio"? <g> I'm on verison 1.5.1, is that the version you have?

Always good to ask ;) yes they are trunked in the radio and working well . Have 1.5.1 loaded and did the update to Framework\v3.5 for my XP . What OS are you running ? Wonder if this is related its from the help file

Conventional - This function is for TrunkTracker III type scanners. Due to that capability of allowing conventional and trunked systems in the same bank, it is sometimes necessary to force the bank to a conventional system to function properly.

Thanks

XP Pro with SP3 here.

The quote you offer from the help file (not sure where it came from in the help file <g>) sounds like it might be explaining what you're seeing.

Other than that, I think *I* am out of ideas on this - for now at least.

Sorry I did not response earlier but my system died last week and I have been setting up a new system. What type scanner are you running?

You state that you are trying to create a system. You should not have to create systems. ID Tracker III reads the systems from the scanner and sets the system type according to the scanner settings. Maybe I misinterpreted what you were saying.

Ya did not word that very well . When the program creates the system it creates it as conventional even though it is trunked . Thanks

OK. What type of system? Also, what do you use to program the scanner? It might help if you could send me the data file you use to program the system so that I can try to duplicate the problem.
