indy 500 comms

noticed today during the tv broadcast... when they played driver/pit comms...

that the audio sounded like astro/P25 voice


is this the case?


(i.e. - are indy teams using p25 ?)

AGR does have digital capabilities and uses it during practice days. Maybe that audio processing carries over to the analog sound too.

mic audio in the XTS series of radios goes through a 13 bit A to D converter.
