I recently began experiencing weird issues with internet explorer. I am running Windows XP-SP3 on my panasonic toughbook. Recently, I have problems when I use IE to navigate the web. The pages freeze and the mouse cannot get anything to move on a page. Now, here is the funny part, if I shut down the browser and switch to Google Chrome, I have no issues at all. There are no issues on my laptop when using it off line so I'm ruling it out. I am not very familiar with IE so I don't know how to troubleshoot this. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

You can go to tools and then Internet options and under the I believe the advance tab and down below on that page there is a reset button and It will reset IE and all its setting and then try that. I use Google chrome all the time since IE is sluggish and slow.

Yeah. You answered your own question when you said you were using Idiot Exploiter on XPee. That's =>99% of the problem right there. There's really no effective way to solve the problem without doing something drastic like, I don't know, upgrading to Linux (which you should be using anyways, if you access the Internet and WWW.)

At the very least, dump Chrome and go with something a little more privacy-friendly:

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/3.6.28/win32/en-GB/Firefox Setup 3.6.28.exe

You're welcome.

First and foremost I am using XP because this is the laptop I use for commercial radio programming. My main laptop which uses Windows 7 recently died and I have not replaced it. On that one, I use Chrome as a primary internet browser without any issues. This current laptop is just filling in for now! Second, the problem has been fixed after doing some of the things suggested by others, so no drastic measures were required to solve the problem.

Tried it and it works like a charm now! Just to be safe, I'm sticking with Chrome!
