What I DID find interesting was this fact :

When I placed my order initially this past Sunday, I received another $15.00 off on check out automatically.
I didn't have to enter any codes or do anything other then follow the check out procedures.

This time, the $15.00 discount was absent. While 15 bucks is 15 bucks, I will be happy to save 30 bucks on the unit and actually get one.

I don't know the exact details but some of the coupons I have used on the Radio Shack website were not a code, you just had to access the website from a special link and then the discount was automatically applied.

Tax refund check came today - so I took the plunge and got one. Anyone know what the "lightning bolt" symbol is at the bottom of the right side of the screen indicate?

The little lightning bolt means you are receiving a frequency associated with a tone. CTCSS is enabled and it's showing the tone # and mini lighting bolt.

Something I noticed while trying different things with the software.

I set a few channels with different audible alert tones, and cannot get rid of them now.

I can change the tones, but I have to shut off audible alerts on the main page to stop them, and cannot go back to "none" at the channel itself.

The visual alert feature works fine.

I have 3 machines running different operating systems, XP, Vista Ultimate, and Windows 7 and they all do the same thing.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Pro-107..

I like this scanner for how easy it is to setup. But I can not find out how to set it up for groups of area..

what i mean is two have to area are a groups of area in one bank so i could just listing to my area...

I set it up put the area name and it still scan all of the things i have program into the set list. evan when I got them the other unchecked..

also how do you delete a play-list..

I find that the pro-164 was a little better of a scanner.. I wished my would have not broking.

okay I did not see any reason to be rude are and ass about it.. But what i was trying to say and thought i said very will.. was i want to make a group of area.. lets say for you to understand me '


I would like in playlists # 1 I would like Pasadena TX, South Houston TX..

I would like in playlists # 2 Houston TX...

so on so on.

Right now i have it sit up like this but when i sit playlist one to play it play all of the two group i have sit up in my Pro-107 scanner..

I don;t know if it will do what I would like it to do..

Chrcey, have you tried turning off one of the playlists? If it doesn't work I would try to do it through the software, it may be easier like that. Turn off playlist #1 and turn on playlist #2 or vice versa. Or another thought would be to clear both playlists out of the scanner via the software and start over. Load playlist #1 with frequencies then turn it off. Then set up playlist #2 with frequencies then turn it off. Then activate one or the other when ready to listen. Just my thoughts on this.

I;m having a problem with my CD ROM.

I was wondering if anyone can send me a zip copy of the software for the RS Pro-107 IScan scanner?

Are a place where i can download one at?

If not i will have to wait tell the weekend to buy a new CD ROM

Yes very easily with the provided software. Either with database updates or just adding a frequency of your desire to your playlist. It's very simple to do, I was amazed at how easy the software is to understand and use.

I was able to use my wife laptop and copy the software on to a memory stick and use that to install it on my computer...

If you're referring to directly entering a specific frequency, no.

However, there are other ways:

• If the frequency is in the RR DB, you can import it and assign it to the Skywarn playlist
• You could set up a limit search where the "Lo" and/or "Hi" frequencies are the one you want to enter, turn the Sq knob fully counterclockwise, then, when the scanner "stops on" the target frequency, press MENU and select "Store Channel". (Convoluted, I know).

Program w/o software

The iscan scanner isn't compatible with my Mac. Any other way to do it without having to buy a pc?
