Hi All. New to programming. Oneida County went digital some time ago. They still broadcast on analog, but everything is primarily digital. I recently got a Unication G2 and programmed it. It has been working flawlessly for about a month. Recently, Oneida County Fire Control is not being picked up when scanning. I know it isnt because my fire dept radio works just fine, but the pager is not. I have re-programmed, updated, etc. Anything that I can think of. It does work sometimes, very inconsistently. It also does not display the "Oneida Fire Control" as the name of the talk group when it does work, it shows me as if its a different channel, just numbers. It is working on FD tone outs, and I do get the subsequent message after, but then its right back to not scanning. Everything else on the same channel scans just fine. I can provide a detail report to if that is helpful at all. Just kind of stuck.

I don't own a Unication, so this response may not help... Are you still monitoring the control channel on 151.010 and not an alternate control channel? Does the G2 provide a signal level and/or meter? Can you monitor CNYICC on a neighboring county (e.g., Madison, Onondaga, Oswego) system to verify the G2 is still working? This assumes your G2 can monitor UHF frequencies. Have you tried a different location to verify it isn't a tower issue? Again, this may not be an issue because your fire dept radio is working and you may be in range of multiple towers.
