I getting an error message when I open the Sentinel software that states:

"Reconstructing full database failed. Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

And from that point, there are no entries in the USA or Canada databases.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Sentinel software, but seem to keep getting the same message.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Jerry

May I suggest that you uninstall/reinstall it once more, but in between the uninstall and reinstall, do this:

1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Uniden\(whichever Sentinel version you're using)\Database
2. Delete every file in that folder
3. Reboot

It will then redownload and rebuild the DB again when you reinstall and then start the program.

That did it. I appreciate the help. I wonder if it was the wifi update that caused it.??? :(
Thanks again.

I wonder if the uninstall/reinstall was required, or if simply deleting the dB would have worked. Any comments, Jay?

You could probably get away with just nuking the DB. The error message made me wonder if there was some missing .NET (or other dependencies), though, so I figured it wouldn't hurt.
