I have hits on a lot of talk groups not listed in the database. If anyone has any info on additional TGs, I'd love to see it. I'm catching a lot in the 65100-65200 range, and few in the mid 1000's, 4000's and 5000s.

Tonight:
TG 1052 Fire Training
TG 1055 Fire Training
One thing to remember every FD has a "private channel" meaning they can communicate without tying anything up on the 911 side of the system.

If you heard Mayday training last night that would have been West Johnston FD. We conducted about 2 hours worth of practical training on our private channel calling various Mayday situations.

No problem. Most departments use the private channel for traffic control so a good time to try and log them would be on motor vehicle accidents

If I am not mistaken, the 65000 region talkgroups are patches. I just haven't figured out how the system implements them.

but if you'd like to help me test it, private message me your email address

I would be interested in receiving these for the Cleveland FD area, but I do not yet have PM capabilities. Can I receive PMs? If so could you PM me?

Thanks,

Scott

My working JOCO Pro-668 config

Thanks to the abundant information on this thread I have figured out a working config for JOCO Project 25. I initially used the configuration that the Radio Shack Pro-668 downloads when one does so. I could only hear a few comms and no matter where I drove in JOCO I got virtually NO flashing "T" on my scanner.
I used the information on this thread for the Clayton Site and now I get SOLID copy of JOCO Project 25 from my residence. I live in Cobblestone Subdivision off of Champion Street.
I am attaching my working config via screenshots.
Hope this helps someone .
I want to thank all that posted their information about what freqs each site uses. Radio Shack software only loads ONE site for JOCO Project 25 and I got poor results at my residence and driving around. Now I am good.

Johnston County is on P25 Harris system now

The county and all departments that were on the EDACS ProVoice system are now using P25, same towers, pretty much same frequencies. One listing error still is that the P25 is actually Phase II (technically mixed Phase I and II) but most of the traffic that one wants to listen to uses Phase II at least half of the time. Upshot of that is you need a more recent digital scanner that can get Phase II. The RR database entry should really list it as mixed I/II so people don't go out and buy the wrong type of scanner.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was serving the Johnston County P25 stream up using a 396XT, but when I read this I ordered a BCD325P2 to replace it. It's ready to go, but I'll charge up the batteries tonight and swap them out tomorrow evening. It should solve the one side/half transmissions it's been picking up I hope.
