For those of you who listen to your scanner during special events like the Halloween Parade, Folk Festival, Thunder in the Valley, and the other random ones, what frequencies do you program in your scanner?
I started realizing that Thunder in the Valley is not that far away, so I wanted to compile a list of frequencies that would be good to listen to for those days.
I already know obviously 453.650 Metro Police, 453.225 Fire, 453.55 EMS, 453.350 CamTran Urban, 453.425 Public Works.
Mainly, I would like to give the police priority, because it seems like during these events, most of the "action" is police related like fighting, drunk in public, giving bus drivers a hard time, etc.
My question is though is, does anyone ever really add in South Ops 1-6 during these events? Mainly I ask because, even though mainly Fire and EMS seem to use these, I know a fairly big police event could be on it.
I want to hear the "good stuff" as they say, but I don't want my scanner(s) to be locked up on one call about an hour.
Also, am I missing out any frequencies?
Also, if anyone is interested, during these special events, I can have dedicated scanners on an online stream for people to listen. If anyone is interested in this, please PM me or at least reply.
