Just passing through...I-80...who patrols?

Greetings.

I'll be driving out to Milwaukee soon, which will put me into PA for the whole stretch of I-80. Is there a particular agency that patrols there? I'd like to have the scanner set up before I head out.

I should be passing through:
Delaware Water Gap
Stroudsburg
Hazelton
Berwick
Sunberry
Lock Haven
Clearfield
DuBoise
Brookville
Mercer

Whenever I drive I-80 I only see PA State Police patrolling it. I can't help you with frequencies, though. Sorry.

Are the PSP currently using the digital system? Or is that just in the planning stage?

The Pennsylvania State Police are still using their high band system. I cut and pasted my ARC 250 file below. The 186.2 refers to the PL. Along I-80 each county is patrolled by the troopers from the barracks from that county. Swiftwater patrols the easternmost section and uses 155.67 base 155.91 mobile. I put all the frequencies in the scanner when I travel in PA.

The 800 digital system is apparently not used for dispatch yet. They are constructing centralized dispatch centers and are some time away from completion. They are using the system for MDT's. (Details posted on the PSP website.)
