BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Key beep

I turn off key beep but goes to auto when powered back on. Can it be permanently turned off? Goes to auto no matter what volume number is.

Key Beep setting (volume or "off") are changeable in the Profile. Use the Edit Profile function, either from the Edit menu, the shortcut <Ctrl>+<1>, or the icon just under the "V" in 'View', that looks like a pencil over a piece of lined paper. Those settings can be accessed and changed on the miscellaneous tab.

and then write it to your 436. If you don't and you read data from your scanner it will overwrite your the profile on your computer.
