You should try using the dimmer option on the SDS 100. It starts at 10% and goes to 100%. This is intended for the brightness of the screen, but it may affect keypad lights as well. Greg

Next... would there be a single bulb behind the keypad ? And could that bulb be replaced with a higher value/rated bulb . The thing is when you disable the keypad the the whole panel goes dark other than the screen . That’s why I wondered if if could be an adjustment vs bulb replacement . If this makes sense

LEDs. Replacing them won't make anything brighter unless you also replace the driver circuit with one that supplies more current.

Confucius say Its both easier and cheaper to carry a flashlight.

My keyboard is a little darker on the left side, but still readable. Its the column up/down on the far left. Looks like the LED didn't quite make it that far. I also noticed the other night that he SDS100 has a phosphorescent number display. Greg.

Dim keypads are a design feature according to Uniden! When the 200 first came out when had a big discussion about it, I can't see my keys even in a dark room but was told it's normal.

Slide this in the USB port of the SDS200 and you'll be able to see the keys with no problem.
