I stand corrected from a few months ago..
I was told Knox County would wait to be rebanded and go digital safe-t....Apparently they are going to totally abandon their existing system and use the State equipment?
They are also going to remain ANALOG...wow....I guess the State is sympathetic in that they have an a$$ load of analog radios already in service. Every volunteer fireman, cop, emt, has a radio.
I was under the impression they were going to connect their system to the State but guess not since safe-t is on the air on a different tower. This came straight from the guy reprogramming Knox Co's radios.
