Could anyone knowledgeable about LAPD's GED structure advise if -G20 would be a GED Supervisor?
If so, would he drive alone, or does GED always operate with at least two officers.

Hi. Very old post but I'm bored so: Indeed, G20 is a GEd Sueprvisor. I cannot confirm if they are riding alone or not - As far as I know, protocol nowadays is to mark yourself as a Lincoln unit whenever possible so even if ur a Sam, Tom, or Xray unit - as long as you're alone SL, TL, XL and I'm pretty sure that applies to GL too although I don't think it's mentioned in the manual. Although considering that GED is obviously a specialized detail with high-risk involved i don't think there's many if any GED units patrolling solo. I've seen one bodycam vid, where the officer was a Topanga George-Lincoln unit. That was odd.
