Good Morning, I regularly monitor the Leeds County Fire and I have only had two talkgroups show up and both were for Dispatch Control talking to unit either going to or on scene. On this system the RID's are divided into the departments in the County.Heard some chatter today on Talkgroup 1. Not sure how many talkgroups are available for this service. I imagine atleast 2. One for Paging/Response and 2 for On Scene TAC.
Caught this while in Ottawa

When units are dispatched to a fire it is done by way of Text/Numeric PAGERS on a frequency of 154.430 and can be decoded using
SDR SHARP combined with PDW decoder. I welcome updates if anyone has some..........................
Dave
So I logged Talkgroup 1 for Leeds, what's the other talkgroup # ? Talkgroup 2? Do you have proper titles or names of the channels? and can they be updated in the database if that info is confirmed? As tayridge mentioned there are 2 channels on the Leeds & Grenville Fire Plus Paging we run the live scanner for L&G so Grenville is following as you have it posted Leeds as you have posted paging is done on 154.430 plus 154.070 Ontario Fire Marshal. Gan Fire Has own repeater they use and RLFD also has repeater they use
Thank you firefighter88 for the Gan info, that fills in my list. I forgot to mention in my previous post that RID 12 is the Brockville BASE/DISPATCH CONTROL for the county....................
11 | Dispatch 1 W |
12 | Dispatch 2 E |
13 | Dispatch 3 N |
Also 15 is Police Back-Up
11 Dispatch 1 W 12 Dispatch 2 E 13 Dispatch 3 N
What you have posted is right Leeds is one channel Grenville is 2 NAC 316 on both channelsSo I logged Talkgroup 1 for Leeds, what's the other talkgroup # ? Talkgroup 2? Do you have proper titles or names of the channels? and can they be updated in the database if that info is confirmed?
So are you saying that Talkgroup 1 - Leeds and Talkgroup 2 - Grenville is the same on both entries here? Also, are the RID's the same on both? If so, would this not make this a conventional networked system? or a 2 frequency trunked system? What you have posted is right Leeds is one channel Grenville is 2 NAC 316 on both channels

Talkgroup 1 is what I logged while in Ottawa.
Not sure why it is that but what I have provided you is how the system is set up and it is simucast system bouncing of 7 towers so if you have both channels in your radio you would hear all. If you were in Ottawa and it landed on Leeds you would be getting Toledo tower or Millers Corners Or Smith Falls SightTalkgroup 1 is what I logged while in Ottawa.
All Radios are Programmed same way and my unication G5 is programmed same way alsoI am using 3 Tait Mobiles that are P25 Convent 1 Tait Portable 3 BCD996P2 2 Whistler TX 2 non are set up other then P25 Convent
You need to select convent P25 and you will be good to goHow do you listen to this system? Via radio or SDR? On my 436 If I program it as conventional frequency then no Talkgroups, or Radio IDs show up. But if I program it as a 1 frequency trunk system, then the radio IDs as well as the actual talkgroup used will show up. Hence, the Talkgroup 1.
