The frequencies for Lehigh Valley MedEvac don't appear to be current, but i was unable to find the proper frequency when out out today. Would anyone happen to know on what frequencies they currently operate on?

I regularly monitor all the medivac channels in the Philly area. If anyone wants I'd be glad to post them all that are active right now.

If any Choppers are coming down to any of the Philly hospitals your best frequency to listen to, which I do on a regular scan is... 123 .025... this is the umbrella multicom that every helicopter uses once they are in the Philly area, they announce their location and intentions, doesn't matter who they are... It's sort of a collision avoidance system so to speak. :)

I confirmed 464.3000 R 123.0 PL - Medevac Ops is active but scratchy from my QTH in Montco. I'll wait to see if I get any hits on the others before submitting. If anyone else is closer, feel free to put them in

Most of the "out of town" medevac helicopters coming into the Philly area communicate through PennComm. The University Of Pennsylvania helicopter service.

As far as I know PennComm is the only local helicopter dispatch facility. I believe AirComm is Air Methods and they are out in the midwest and transmit remotely for Temple, JeffStat and one of the other Medevac services.

Interesting Herb, these are the three that I listen to and are regularly active.
PennnSTAR 155.385 PL100.0, JeffSTAT 151.5275 DCS 732 and Temple 1 151.5275 DCS 606... if we have an accident needing Medevac it's usually Temple.

were submitted today, however, after looking into these freqs, 451.55000 is not licensed, however under the same license of
WQDS223 they do have 451.5000 / 456.5000 as a repeater pair, so I changed the submitted info to reflect the license.. it looks like these freqs are also in use by the Hospital.
Licensee:Lehigh Valley Health Network
Callsign:WQDS223
and will someday be turned into a Networked DMR CAP plus Trunked system....

Hopefully, we will get some more updates to this system and it's users.

Bob,

When I say out of town I mean helicopters coming into the Philly hospitals from places like Hershey Medical Center, UPMC in Pittsburgh, Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick NJ, etc. Most are out of range of their comm center so they communicate through PennComm.
