That's a ridiculous statement. Calling to find out the status won't bury your paperwork. He just passed the test and is anxious to get on the air. Sometimes you have to call because people make mistakes and his application could have been misplaced, who knows. The FCC works at a snails pace most of the time.
I don't know you have a Amateur license or not. The FCC has nothing to do with how long it's taking. But you must not know how fast the FCC issues licenses. Just look at our VE sessions to see how fast that they do work. It will give you the test date and scroll down to the bottom you will see the updated date. Which is the date that the info on the calls was posted. We send it in and it's done in about 1 hour or less. I can only tell you what I know has happened for the last 6 years.
