Hey all,
I'm currently testing my live scanner feed, which is currently set to the
NOAA Weather Radio for the St. Louis area at 162.550mhz. It's set to this,
as of right now, for testing purposes because it's active 24/7. I still have to
figure out how to limit the number of connected users, don't want to chew
up my bandwidth too much.
I'm using Windows Media Encoder for the Broadcast, so far, I've only tested it in
Windows Media Player. I also, need to get a better cable to hook up the scanner
to the PC, one that is shielded to help reduce noise.
Hopefully, I will be able to give out the URL soon. I'm not sure what I'll actually
broadcast the most, but for now, it's going to be the NOAA Weather Radio.
Also, since I have a Dynamic IP with my DSL, I've signed up with a Dynamic DNS service to give
my ever changing IP an Alias. So everytime my IP changes, the Alias stays the same.
I'm planning on making this feed available to some of the Yahoo! Groups I'm a member
of that are related to my area.
