Has anyone ever heard anything on longwave?
Thanks guys. Sounds like a losing proposition.
Not current and a lot probably no longer active but FWIW:
I've logged a bunch of NDB aircaft beacons as well... I sometimes listen to WWVB down at 60 Khz just to see how it's coming in, but it's kind of boring to listen to. It's a phase modulated signal used for setting 'atomic clocks', There's no voice. I've listened for ham activity on 135 Hhz, but have never heard anything.
There are a few military VLF stations. Station NAA in Cutler Maine at 24 Khz is a well known one... I don't know if it's still operating. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VLF_Transmitter_Cutler
Dennis, were you just curious or interested in something specific? Mike
Just curious because it's a band on my radio.
