Received this message from FR24 on Monday.
FR24 won't release the receiver for sale anymore.

The free receiver is provided and sponsored by FR24 so for obvious reasons you are only allowed to use it for feeding FR24.
We gave up the idea of selling the box as it just became to complicated with different receiver versions and we don't have resources to give support for a receiver that is not ours and not controlled from our servers. Instead we have made an arrangement with Guenter that he will start selling his receiver shortly. Once his web shop is ready we will post a link both here and on FR24.com

Sounds like the FlightAware receiver be much better deal.
Where we can share our Mode-S/ADS-B and MLAT data with anyone like on the PlanePlotter network.

Message from FlightAware.
We haven't worked out all the models yet, but the initial focus will be free receivers for locations where we don't have coverage. We don't intend to go out of our way to prevent sharing of ADS-B data.

Now the question is will both the radarcape and the FlightAware receiver provide inputs to MLAT-able networks?... If I could contribute to both FR24 / PP for MLAT and then feed all others the ads-b out data that would be the best!

Fredrik,

You should make your offer little better in 2014.
Since sharing the data with another service is not allowed with the FR24 box.

If you look at what FlightAware is offering (Free/Paid) boxes in 2014.
It's much better with running that box and sharing with all the other sites from "one box".
It would help get more 'coverage' on any tracking sites as we would all be working as a great group.

Plus running one box at each location, it would save power being used, and be much more environmentally friendly. Everyone should all try to be more Eco-Friendly in 2014.
Running multiple boxes at the same location uses so much power.

Q: Can I share data from FlightAware FlightFeeder with other sites?
A: Sure! FlightAware encourages the sharing of all available ADS-B data for maximum collaboration and sharing within the community.
