Looking for Help for the Pro 106 Scanner

Ok Im trying to Add My Talk Groups to the Scanner. I live In NJ and I am a FireFighter. My County is Ocean Co. Im only Adding the Fire Zone for my County which are 1-5 and Fire Coordinators and Fire Marshal Ch.

Ok I Go to TSYS Then I Do Type MOT VHF/UHF Then I go down to My Freq List ( There are 3 PCC that are Red But I do add them all) Then I go down to the Tables and Custom 380 offset Base is 505.000 and step I guess is the same as Space is 12.5. I do all that i Save and it stores is in bank 01-000.

Then when i go to add the Talk Group I go to ID add the TG ( Zone 1 20512) I hit stave and it stores it in Bank 01-010.

Now when i go to hit Man button my TSYS is not in 01-000 it only shows me 01-010,011,12 Ex where I put my TG at. But when scan i hear NOTHING.

So When I go to the MAN TSYS is under F2 When I hit that it shows me ANALYZ on F3. When I hit that and MAN go threw the list then I hear the ZONES talking but I dont want that. I want to hear them as it scan's Please some one HELP ME!!!!!

Just got the Scanner 3 days again as a present.

Yes put in all the control channels just the ones in red.

Are you programming by hand or with software? If you have the programming cable and are using Win500 software I have a file already set up for you.

WOW Viking Thx for the Help it worked. I dont know What i did Wrong. I think I had the Control Freq Wrong they had to be in the right order right?

ANd I know I didnt have the Low/High Set and the FM button I didnt have on.

Now Im going to tackle Philly Talkgroup Fire only LOL

No problem. Glad to help. The Pro 106 can be difficult to program by hand. It does take longer, but I think you get a better understanding when going hands on. Most people get software for the Pro 106 because it can be a daunting task, but as I said I think you learn best by hands on. As for the cotrol channels for being in the right order I'm not to sure but I always put them in order from lowest to highest.
