Oat remains off the air today... Just out of curiosity - have they left the other sites up and running?

From what I can tell from the West LA, none of the sites were on the air today during the couple times I tried scanning them.

Thanks... I've got Oat programmed into about half-a-dozen radios now - I'll let you know if it comes back.

For those of you that have been receiving the new system:

Are the testing sites transmitting in Phase II format, or Phase I FDMA? And has everyone been using Phase II capable scanners to monitor so far? I have not tried listening to any sites closest to my town, but I would like to know if it would be worth programming my RS Pro-106 with the system info.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I received talkgroups 42 and 44 on a Phase I (only) radio. 42 was in the clear (Phase I), 44 was probably encrypted, however, there is some possibility it was a TDMA/Phase II transmission that decoded as gibberish on this particular radio. Time will, no doubt, tell...

Site 5
476.400
476.425
476.550
476.575
476.700
476.725
476.850

773.68125

774.18125alt
774.43125cc

Suspect Oat might have more frequencies as well, but too far for me to receive.

Also if anyone is out in the SGV, have a listen as there was talk of Johnstone site. So one or more of the missing sites likely is Johnstone and covers the eastern portion of the county..

During testing today noted activity on TG 1, 7 and 13.

Did the RICS DB get updated?

Yes sir.

I don't think you would have heard anything. I've been watching pretty consistently, and it hasn't been up since it went down.

Could possibly mean additional frequencies are in the mix and the original 4 have no activity?

Maybe search 476-478 bands during the day for another other control channels. FYI - Other UHF sites seem to be down for the night again.

I'm ahead of you -

I've been rolling through 476-479 on a pretty regular basis since Oat went off the air.

Based on control channel data from other sites, Johnstone or other locations could be - 476.900, 477.050, 477.950, 773.18125.

I actually think there is something on 773.18125, but signal is too weak to decode from my location.
