• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hey all,

I'm currently trying to map a LTR system use by the local hospital. It is a LTR standard system and has 3 system frequencies. The radio system is use in 5 different buildings around the city (all affiliated with the hospital) with each their own HH (HH= 01, 03, 05, 07 & 09)

I need some help with IDing the TGID (A-HH-GGG format). The hospital itself uses 1-01-061 for security. I logged 1-05-061 (from that building) and 1-09-061 (from another building) . Would it be safe to generalize the GGG with the same purpose at different buildings : like all TGs with a GGG of 061 is security? Quite a few GGG come up more then once in different buildings.

I have attached a Word file of the TGs ID I found so far in the LTR system. As you will see, there's 2 TGs that have an area code of 0 while all the others start with a 1 Also, there's one TG that has a HH of 25.

Sorry if this question is repetitive. I quickly looked at the 17 pages of threads in this section/did a few search of the forum and read a few Wiki articles on the subject with no success.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

That would be an elegant way to set things up. Easy to remember who is where.

Stay on it this is good work. I have mapped all the local ones out here using the same process. Some observations. in LTR there are only 251 I think TG's, So for ex :1-9-253 Is the Repeater ID
The misc ones you have hear do not exist as you only have LCN 1, 5 ,9, you have a fourth freq but no LCN
it could be 7 as it stands to reason.
Once you are all confident in the the LCN search away, write them all down listen for what the people are doing , with your list this big, you can have security which has three channels, but access to all the other channels as needed,
I have also seen instance's where ex: 1-01-101 is base radio & id's 102-150 are the actual radio's , same channel but the id shows up, ( I believe that is called loading) it gives the appearance that there are more users on a system. it justifies the need for more frequencies.

my local shop does the same for transcrete company how ever they jump from system to system but use the same ID say 0-03-098 and 0-11-098 etc..

They also host to a white water rafting group same thing, They call on different system tower groups
