I must be one of the luckiest guys on this board. I read about all the antenna problems everyone is having, and think just how lucky I am. I own several scanners, Bearcat and Radio Shack, as posted elsewhere. My best now is the PRO 96 by RS. I can receive the Bucks County, PA,TRS without any antenna at all if I choose to. The BNC stub pulls in the signal by itself when I am at home. I use the RS 800 mhz antenna and I can receive all Philadelphia police and fire, Burlington County, NJ, analog, and Mercer County, NJ analog and digital (Trenton TRS). I guess I am located in the prime spot for reception! I use an outside antenna in my car to help with some VHF analog reception when I leave my home area.(window mount). I have considered a rooftop antenna at home, but I really don't need one. :D

Just think how much more you would hear with one.

I guess my concern would be receiving Bucks County too strong, and maybe damaging my radio? Maybe there is some type of antennuator I could use to lessen that signal, while still getting the others? :?:

You are not going to "hurt your radio". Here where I live I don't need an antenna to listen to our local trunking system just like you and I have never had any of my radios damaged by using my scantenna.

It's kinda like....Well,take your TV for example, unplug the cable, put the "rabbit ears" on,surf through the channels.....NOW, plug the cable back in,and surf.

I could'nt live with out my antenna system!
