Madisonville FD Channel 2?

I just started hearing the FD telling fighters to switch to chan 2 in the past 2-3 weeks after that I hear nothing.. Anyone know anything about this? Could chan 2 be the new p25 freq? I do not think the p25 is even active yet..

Has been just talkaround of the repeater - 154.310. Will have to be close to the firefighter as they are likely talking of a portable.

Like kib669 said its probably just a talk around channel, you might just be to far away or it could be your equipment sometimes the equipment can lock on to a PL Tone and not pick up anything but whats using the PL Tone. Most repeaters use the PL tones.
