Hello,

I was wondering if the Maine State Forestry Freq. I know most of them unless they changed them,
was wondering if the districts are listed?

This could be another question, though I figure someone reading may now. (159.300 (baxter Park), 159.36, 159.45) Someone said all the warden Freq's are scrambled, is this factual.
I am sure they can shut it off or it does some automatically if they have to use SW Car to Car to SP car to Car? They used to run it just when they were running. something. Thanks Bruce

Thanks, just have to figure out what Frequencies they use in the Millinocket region. It could be confusing when you are stuck in the middle of both Houlton and Bangor RCC. Especially when they changed from Old town and a few of the towers.

All communications for both agencies has moved to the MSCOMNET P25 trunking system. Their regular dispatching is now handled through the appropriate State Police zone dispatch.

Both agencies have their own talk groups for unit to unit communications, however all Game Warden talk groups are encrypted.

Frequency and talk group info can be found here - MSCommNet - Maine State Communications Network (Maine) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
The Game Warden TGs are very seldom used, and I have heard clear transmissions on them.
The Warden Service may also be using 155.730/233.6 Hz for simplex comms.

It is surprising they use the same freq. compared to all the others changing. They are doing a complete radio upgrade in the Millinocket region which is dispatched through PRCC. Some of those frequencies are changing. The units will be getting an increasing the wattage in the mobile units in both the PD and FD.
