Hello,

I'm trying to manually program about 20 air band freq. into my HP2. I've searched everywhere but can't seem to find any tips.

I'm not very savy with trunking scanners so forgive me for asking such a stupid question.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Unless you have the Extreme Upgrade for your HP-2, you will not be able to enter them directly on the scanner. However, you can create a Favorites list using the Sentinel software, and enter your frequencies of interest that way. Once done, download your newly created list to the HP-2 and start listening.

See this for more information on using Sentinel:

I am using the extreme upgrade so I can enter manually.

I took your advice and added channels to a favorite list thru sentinel and seems to have dud thr trick. I wish there was a way to add freq to a fav. list thru manual freq input however.

You can edit FLs if you have the EU.

With the extreme upgrade, you can create a favorite list on the radio and enter your airband frequency data. You can also edit and add or revise the favorite list you created and uploaded from sentinel on the radio.

Stop the radio on the favorites list, and then tap the right menu on system, department or channel to make revisions. Tap the advanced option and you will see what you can do.

In the long run, dealing with SD cards and such, I still think its best to have a copy in sentinel anyway, but I sometimes make changes while mobile and then load them back into sentinel next chance I get.

Thanks guys. I figured it out. Was a little lost at first searching thru these long lists for frequencies of interest. Now adding them in manually.

Works great so far. Exactly what I was hoping for.
