Hi there. Quick question about marking forums 'read'.

When first signing on, whether from home or work, I can see what forums have new posts, as it should be. But if I happen to click on 'Mark all topics read', all of the forums seem to be marked. I originally thought that it might be my firewall/cookie control at work, but it seems to happen at any computer I use (friends, wife's work, etc.). It doesn't seem to happen with other similar sites like the Batboards, but does happen also with Alex's Radio Information Board (http://radio.the161.net).

Is this a PHP configuration issue or am I just jinxed?

Well..."Mark all topics read" means that all posts, in that forum board, will show up to you as having been read. I have had similar experience with other phpbb forums as well as my own. I leave the forum completely and when I return, I'm still logged in and it shows that there are no new posts, even in the forum boards that I don't read. It hasn't happened here though.

Those symptoms happen also. I will sometimes just look in a forum to see if there are new posts, and then exit from it to another. When i come back, everything has been marked 'read' and if I happen to hit REFRESH, there might be one or two new posts showing.

Glad to hear that I'm not just seeing things. Must be a PHP thing.
