My apologies if I am overlooking something here, but noticed an unusual flight near my area, which is ongoing, listed as a Mavic Pro. Flights yesterday, similar to today has it going well over 400AGL, and hanging around a GA airport.

Current flight here:

I am putting the thread here as it being a drone and over 400 feet, military was what I was expecting. And something bigger than a Mavic Pro.

This is interesting. I wonder almost if he was hired or something to do some kind of survey around that or something. It's odd that craft also has a "N" number and I you look that number up, it actually returns to him on a Mavic Pro drone.

This is why I feel so stupid posting this, my understanding over how all this works is that this is a....I hate using the word impossible, and get burned any time I do.... so I'll just call it a situation in which I don't know why, or how, it would occur.

I feel like I must be missing something here.

Obviously, whatever is in the air over there isn't causing an issue, there were other planes in the traffic pattern, just like the Mavic, which would appear by flight characteristics, to be a .....plain-plane.

But I repeat myself.

Been wanting to use that one for a while.

By flight characteristics I should specify that it appears to be using the runway in a conventional manner and flying at non-FAA approved altitudes for hobby UAS operators, but regular altitudes for regular aircraft.

It is operating at very slow/stall speeds were it a general aviation aircraft, further supporting that it is a Mavic.

Not sure if the fact that there are two gyros operating in the area qualifies as a clue or not. Not many of them in my area, and both have touched base at KAFP today.

I would say at least to me, what you're seeing is indeed odd to say the least. I guess something going on that we can't find out all the details on or, all the information isn't out there. Please report back if you can find out anything.
