MDC Police and Maintenance (Metropolitan District, Hartford Connecticut).

Does anybody know what kind of system MDC uses, They have a police force and general maintenance. I've always wanted to know what they use but can't find it anywhere. Are they on a fully encrypted system or using CTLMRN? (I use a Pro-668).

I found them by searching DMR ranges and then by listening to the content of the communications and looking up addresses on the web that were mentioned. Took a while but finally pinned who it was down. Nothing too exciting to listen to, just fun to try to figure out the puzzle. Oh the freq... I'll give you a hint, it IS DMR, Color Code 10, and somewhere between 461-465. I haven't listened to them for a while so let me listen and see if they are still on there. I'll be back...

Yeah i'm not surprised, I also heard them on Troop B Disp.

They use a Linked Capacity plus system. 5 sites across the northern part of the state. Their crews use it when working in the field and they do have a "district wide" channel. They don't have anything dedicated for their own police department.

the PD uses the state system. They are just on whichever troop talkgroup for the area they are in, Barkhamsted guys pop up on B dispatch all the time

Yep, So does New Hartford police, do you happen to know the callsigns, or unit numbers of the NHPD guys, like Janco?

any constable in troop B area is BC##, troop L area is LC##, in new hartford we have BC69, 85, 86, 87
