So, for Newberg, there's an L20. But I've also heard a C20, C21, C2, etc. Assuming C2 is the CHIEF of chiefs, and L20 is a duty chief, who are C20 and C21?

I'm thinking since they use the 800MHz system, they go by the rules of WCCCA (How they speak and such.)

Yeah C2 is definitely the chief of Newberg. I have heard L20 a couple times before, but it has always been the same person. I have heard C2, FM20, C21 and C25 all go as C20 before, so I guess the duty chief position uses C20 as a "slot" call sign and the rest are their normal ones. ORE007 could probably explain.. I think he works for Newberg, or has friends that do or something.

L20 is the on duty LT at he main station 20 and L21 is at Springbrook station 21. C2 is the fire chief, C20 is the on duty chief call sign. C21, 22, and FM20 are individual call signs for the division chiefs and C23 and C25 are two battalion chiefs. The 6 chiefs take rotation for duty chief and will be C20 when they are on.

Thanks for the answers. A co-worker and I were talking about it on Thursday, he moonlights at the Mac Steel Mill as an EMT or whatever and listens to YCOM or works with Mac Fire on incidents at the facility.

Appearently they bought a house and moved an engine and medic to N. Mac somewhere and now numbered them E1 and M1. E14 is now E1 and I believe M12 is now M11 and M11 became M1.

They still have Medic 10 and 12. So Medic 1, 10, 11, 12. Unless one of the Lt's keeps mistakenly calling their medic 1, "Medic 10".
