MedicOne appears to be using encryption on their UHF DMR Dispatch.

Im hearing garbled audio on my BCD160DN so its safe to assume that its encrypted. The one thing im not sure about is that if its full or partial.

(I tried to upload a video to here but it says “the file is too big for the server to process” or something like that)

Mainly posted this to see if anyone else has noticed

If you are referring to 452.675 CC1 TG1/SL1 TG2/SL2, I first noticed in March 2024 that the frequency appeared to no longer be in use. (I was trying to collect UIDs/RIDs). 1003 is BASE and mobile IDs are 8xx.

They had just been bought by another company, and that company is know for LTE cellular communications.

I tried the frequency a few months ago and still didn't hear anything from them.

NOW, I thought I had heard the same type traffic on another frequency, although I couldn't find a license
(I thought I had it in my notes, but I can't find the other frequency)

So, back to the encryption you are hearing, that is more than likely the SSM Hospitals system at SLU Hospital. It is also CC1 but Capacity Plus, Site 1, with LCN 2/LSN 3/4 with RIDs 1007, 1014, 1031 TG1 is very active, I haven't heard 2 or 4 lately, and it's possible they are encrypted now, not sure.

Also, I'm not sure if the parking spot is still using CC11, last time I heard that was 2023.

I'm only seeing signal from The Parking Spot using CC 11. So the parking spot appears to still be active.
Nothing at all from anything using CC 1. I never could get any signal from SSM but Medic One using CC 11 used to be a decent signal here but it's been quite a while since I last heard them on 452.675. I'm located near Olive & 270.

Hmm. you should hear the SSM system. Can you hear any of the sites, especially the couple near you?

Have you ever heard anything on the other parking spot licensed frequencies?

I'll plug them all into a simple conventional group along with the nearest SSM freqs and let you know what I get after a day or two.

Info from before I retired.

Medic One and Abbott had both moved to a type of cell technology and moved away from two way radio comms. Abbott did leave their UHF channel as an emergency back-up if the computers ever crashed. I remember some years ago hearing Medic Ine on their DMR channel. I stopped listening when their radios went dead.

I did hear about the cellular thing. Assuming its AT&T FirstNet or something like that.
