BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Menu button not working

I need some help with menu button. When I try to enter the menu when pushed it blinks the goes back to scanning, it was working but I must have done something wrong.

Some general advice:
If you have a communication port on the scanner then disconnect any cables that goes to your computer.
If you halt scanning by another button, will it stop scan? Then try the menu button.
If you can open up the scanner then look at any cable that goes to the keypad and pull that out and set it back again.

Welcome to the forums. Are you certain you're not pressing a FUNCTION button by mistake? As mentioned previously it would help out greatly to know what model Uniden

It is a uniden bcd996p2 about 3 years old

Does it say Key Safe Mode when you press the MENU button? If it does, turn the scanner off. While pressing the Scroll Knob, turn the scanner on to exit Key Safe Mode.

Yes that is button I am pushing it was working last week

You say the scanner blinks when you press the button. It sounds like the button is working. Read my post #7 above.
