And you know, once Allegheny County joins ICORRS, all the PDs will more than likely be encrypted. Therefore, we will lose more stuff to monitor.

My home 20 eating pizza.
At this rate the whole state will either be on this, SCIN, or STARNet in a few years. Not sure if I should be happy or annoyed we spent the money to build out our own a few years ago. At least we have full control with nobody looking over our shoulders. I guess?

Advantages of a "Shared system"
-Initial costs are cheaper (Master Site aka trunking controller costs several million)
-maintenance costs are cheaper as Master site maintenance is shared across all entities.

Those costs are quite extensive savings

Savings are nice but I like being in my own sandbox where I can decide what I want. Not have it given to me because everyone else has it so I have to, too.

Pending application for Mercer Co. Will it be on ICORRS? I dunno. But here it is
What don't u know? It has been stated already that Mercer County will be on ICORRS.

In fact- their current dispatch consoles have been on ICORRS for some time already.

Looks like the same frequencies as the original application, correct?

Hey, I'm just a license messenger. I don't live in PA. I don't pay attention to ICORRS. Why would I know. Relax T.

Look at the message directly above your initial post.....ur message @ 8:42 message stating part of Icorrs on Jan 2.

And as far as license and freqs I'm going to throw out that Mercer County is in close enough proximity to Canada- the freqs available might be a little bit different. Coordinator approved it so shouldn't be a major issue.

Yeah after you responded [and then I responded], I saw that somebody had even already posted the original license app (which was rejected a few times). So it was old news.

Ok on the freqs. Makes sense.
