if you are wanting traffic from the miami site your 996xt will work just fine assuming that tower isnt being used for phase two audio. If your listening to OKWIN then your 996xt will work just fine.
Yes, the BCD 325P2 will work and will also do phase two audio.
EDIT: refer to above posts on the quality of this scanner for phase two audio. I havent used this scanner for any of the SDS scanners yet. I personally use 536/436 HP still

To answer your original question, yes any scanner that can do Phase 1 will work just fine on OKWIN and the Miami Tower.

Everyone is just saying that if you want to spend a little more money and get a Phase 2 scanner then my all means do so. As for the current state of the new system any Phase 1 scanner will work just fine. Just make sure you have a really good antenna. Remember with digital it's all or nothing. Since you will be monitoring a single site system P25 distortion should not be a problem for you.
I vote for the PSR-600, RS Pro-197, RS Pro-652, or the Whistler 1065. All 4 are identical as well as easier to program and less money. If the state does upgrade to Phase 2 in the future than yes you will will need to get a scanner that will scan Phase 2. Hope this helps.

I decided to go with the GRE PSR-600 . I wanted to thank everyone for your help and support and especially the last guy that listed the models to look at and which ones that support phase 1 . I should be in business in a few days . My antenna is high enough to receive the Miami trunked system tower .

Looking through 800 today and see that Pryor is now P25. They've been upgrading sites like crazy that last few weeks.
I assume the Type II TGs are still being used/patched?
I took the PSR 600 to radio shack this morning and requested them to upload the Miami Tower and grda and Craig county and anything on the state system . Well I get home and come to find out they put the Jay tower in and I can't receive the tower . I managed to put in the Miami Tower and it seems to work but I don't see any radio IDs . I do see the P25 info . Who else can reprogram this unit ? . I'll be willing to pay for the programming . I can't drive to far but I occasionally drive to Claremore to visit my parents .

I decided to take it back to radio shack and explained what I wanted and that the Jay tower was to far away from me to receive and to upload the Miami Tower and good news is no charge to fix it .
