Todd, never meant what you took it to be, it works great, just teasing, the device works beyond expectations.

Thank you. Not quite ready for orders yet. Hopefully not too much longer.
You would need to load the firmware on it. Then attach it to the 40-pin connector. You're done! Power is supplied to the Wio Display via the 40-pin connector.
Stupid question , Sir you say above you need to load the firmware on the Win display , can you please tell me how to do that ? Do you need to go to the Win Terminal site ? Thank you so much

Adding that I would have no problem with two radios: one optimized for 700 and the other for 800 MHz. I use discrete / seperate radios for different systems anyway - too busy around here.
I agree completely. I have all three of Todd's creations and I don't scan multiple systems. Instead I park each one on it's own system.
I have done this for years with my scanners as well. The more you scan the more you miss.
I hope for a module type system for the future. Plug in boards, separate radios for 700mHz, 800mHz, VHF and UHF, all networked or working independently. You could add as your budget allows. Endless possibilities.
The audio of the Blue Tail receivers is great. Far better than the SDS200 or SDS100. Don't get me wrong the SDS's do very well. I have three of them one SDS100 and two SDS200's. One of the 200's runs 24-7. As do my Blue Tails'.

@KMG54 the top board does look like a rtl sdr but that is the controller. The actual radio is the board below.
Todd's dedication and support is one of a kind. I have worked with him hours at a time testing firmware and making improvements, he doesn't give up until it's right. That's just me, he works with a lot of people making adjustments. I don't know when he sleeps.
I think most of us have a sense of humor including Todd. I can't speak for him but comparing it to a rtl..... probably hits a sore spot. I'm sure it's all good. Enjoy that radio and promote it so we can look forward to more designs.

The MicroP25RX user manual has the instructions for loading the Wio Terminal firmware.
The user manual is available on the btt web page here Link
Please see Section 5.2 for the Wio Terminal update info.

And loading both the display and receiver FW is super easy. I can even do it.

Well I FINALLY got mine fully up and running, Imports and all. Turns out in addition to having to relearn each site, my talkgroup file that I had sorted several days ago got messed up on Google Drive, and instead of a sorted CSV, i ended up with a CSV file that when opened, the only data inside it was the file path on my computer pointing to the file.... No idea what happened there, and it definitely had the right stuff in it a few SD card rewrites ago. Anyway, got everything all straightened out with that, and everything is all set now and its happily chugging along next to my original P25RX (with better signal readings i might add).

And just so it doesnt seem like a waste of time, the change to suspend voice traffic definately helps with the Learning process, along with the set time-out time and visual notification of the Learn completing.

Spoke a little too soon, talkgroups imported, RID aliases did not.

If you want to import your p25rx_alias.csv file, then you have to rename it to: alias-wwww-sss.csv where wwwww = lower-case hex WACN, and sss = lower case SYS_ID. Then it will know which system to import it to. The filename needs to be lower case too.

Got it, already had it renamed just like that, my issue was using uppercase for the SYSID. Radio Reference needs to add a facepalm emoji.

While on the topic of this, I think I found a hang-up. Either I hit the limit of ID's able to be imported, or it doesnt allow duplicate ID's. Each time it will import all of the ID's from one of my CSV's but then it gets partway through the second and freezes. The 2 systems have an ISSI link and radios frequently pop up on talkgroups on either system, so i just copied the entire list and gave it the corresponding names. For reference I have around 6000 Ids in each file.
