This may sound odd coming from a potential customer, but please don’t undersell all your development and engineering time. People sometimes forget this is a huge factor in the price of something.
Thanks. This is true. Most of the dozen or so transceiver products I designed for my previous employer sell for $3000 each. They almost always broke even (or lost) money every year. Engineering is not usually a paid-by-the-hour job. If I charged for the time put into these things, nobody would buy them. Trying to make a living in the US competing with large foreign companies during an unprecedented period of parts scarcity, insane inflation with inexpensive electronics products is not easy. I'm trying to figure out how to keep this going. If the dog and I can eat, I can pay the mortgage, water, internet, and electric, then I'm very happy!!!

All I can say is, pump those things out. If you can come in around the $400 mark, they will fly off the shelf.

My home brew radio shack pro 668 has worn it's usb port out Pretty sure I could send it out for $129 bucks and get a new board and the legit upgrade. But this setup sounds much better.

In all truthfulness I think if it works it should go for more like Kevin said, time is money.,

Uh-oh. No update since Friday. This must mean the project has been abandoned!

Sorry. I couldn’t resist. Some members here seem to actually have that attitude.

That is EXACTLY what i had envisioned when I was mentioning an enclosure for these in the early stages of BTT asking for ideas. That looks AMAZING and is exactly along the lines of what I was looking for!
Goldmyne99 that looks awesome. Is that going to be part of Todd's offering or an accessory by you

Thanks for the kind words! This enclosure design prototype still needs some final adjustments once the MicroP25RX is released.

Like many of you, I am just a customer of BTT.

Todd provides endless hours of customer support here on RR. He has created countless software/firmware updates for all of his current products for FREE.

This MicroP25RX enclosure design is my small way of giving back to Todd. I am not accepting any compensation for this design nor from the sales of the printed enclosure. To be clear, the final design will belong to Todd to manufacture/sell as an option as he has mentioned in a past post.

Please continue to support BTT products - seriously, your BTT radio depends on it.

Thank you for the enclosure @goldmyne99! I like it! It will definitely add a finishing touch and will protect the electronics. Very nice.

I should have mentioned that @goldmyne99 and I have been in touch regarding the enclosure since he started working on it. I have the enclosure in my hands now and it only needs minor modifications before production. Very impressive at how close the design is even though he did not have a receiver to work from. If the 3D model I provided of the pcbs had been more accurate on some spacing, I believe the enclosure would have been perfect on the first try. It is very heavy duty. I will be shipping the first receiver to him along with the prototype enclosure soon.
