CLEAN/TABOR Flight

Sounds like another flight of 3 F15Es and their tanker coming through from the south. Tanker freq is 282.000. A-A is 279.4560. 1330Z
Unsure of the track they are on. Switched to Moncton 135.200 at 1350Z
Judging by how quick the signal faded and that only one Sharer in Halifax came up....I'm guessing they went well to the East of us.(1400Z)

Heard them here but my Planeplotter PC isn't showing in TeamViewer so it must be off for some reason. Had 4 bars of signal on the scanner though so they were close. Didn't see them but got to listen. Thanks!!

REACH 442 (KC-10 85-0027) took off from McGuire and passed over Halifax heading NE this morning doing full ADS-B. That's quite rare, is it a cause of the crew missing a disable switch? They're currently over Ireland being picked up by receivers in Europe.

This isn't really refueling related...but interesting.
I stumbled across this last night from the NavCan Website;

NAV CANADA, the country’s provider of civil air navigation services, has collaborated with the Department of
National Defence (DND) to establish Class F (restricted) special use airspace (CYR) in south-western Nova
Scotia (NS) for the purpose of conducting flight tests of unmanned aerial vehicles, including ship-to-shore
operations. The restricted airspace is located approximately 35 nautical miles (NM) east of Yarmouth, NS and
consists of two CYRs—one inland (surface to 5,000 feet above sea level [ASL]) and the other acting as a
corridor (3,000 to 5,000 feet ASL) to the offshore Danger Area CYD 703. The CYRs will be activated by
NOTAM with 48-hours prior notice.

ASCOT9521/9101 Flight

A Flight of 4 Typhoon fighters has just departed St. Johns, Nfld headed for Wright Patterson AFB
The tanker (ASCOT9101) position should be visible on PlanePlotter, PlaneFinder etc.
There is a good chance they will overfly our (NS) airspace.
Look for comm activity on 335.525 and 244.450
Happy spotting.

Just reviewing the recordings.
They went due west. Discussing the weather for Montreal and Trenton. :(

A question for the AR experts.......
NYC CAP is active today but can't ID the tanker. Sounds like WHY 01 or WIDE 01? Any ideas?
Thanks!

Thanks again guys for putting the pieces together. We've been posting the Yankee CAP over in the NE Military forum if you want to check it.

Snoop55 / regal95

SNOOP55 (RC-135V 'Rivet Joint', 64-14841, AE01C9) is getting ready to be refueled by REGAL95 (57-1437, AE04DB, KC-135R) on AR20-NE.
REGAL95 has a very poor quality radio (signal). Very scratchy...like it's off freq or something. SNOOP sounds fine.

TABOR/GOLD Flight

We have two GOLD tankers refueling 6 Harriers at 1000Z heading North from Pease. Unsure of the track they are taking. Main tanker comms are on 396.200.
GOLD72 (84-0185) just popped up at 1015 further South of the other two tankers.
Looks like they are on AR20 track...probably headed to St John's. 1038Z
GOLD71 (87-0119) has also shown up to the South.

My brother saw them in Cole Harbour. I was in the elevator at work and somehow missed them when I got to my desk.. Good for him to see them though, he has worse luck that even I do :)

Any pics, look?
