Previously broadcast RADAR and Frequency outages impacting PHL Area C have been partially resolved with the return of the impact RADAR system. Frequency outages continue with no estimate on a return to service. Additionally, PHL Area C has issued a staffing trigger for 2100z and later.

Based on the continued frequency outages and the upcoming staffing impacts the Ground Stop for EWR and TEB will be expanded to all contiguous U.S. and Canadian departures and extended until 2100z. Once the frequency issues are resolved users should expect a Ground Delay program for EWR and either a Ground Delay program for TEB or an Airspace Flow Program capturing TEB, MMU, CDW, and LDJ.
Haven't really been following this (sounds like important) nwes.... Can anyone expand / explain?
Thanks
Joel

Very little info available for airports effected see National Airspace System
Any info (from anyone) about whether this is a computer failure, a hacking event, or something else (staffing.... really)? The Weather seems fine so I'm ruling that out.

Spain and Portugal also had a major power outage earlier, Just trying to see if it's a coincidence or not (maybe someone trying to interfere with as many systems as possible).

Thanks
Joel

Looks like 4 of the 8 VINYL tankers returned to HNL last night as CABAL 81 to 84 with PINE 31 and 35. ID by ATC as F-35s and I think I actually recognize the voices as VT ANG pilots. (You know you listen to milair to much when ...). The other 4, CABAL 91 to 94 seem to be delayed in Guam. Couldn't find anything on twitter/X to confirm.

Yes, you are right. These are the VT ANG F-35s returning from Kadena airbase in Japan.
The second cell was delayed but should be arriving later today as PINE or SPINE 41flight.

The final FT A-10s that were deployed to Jordan, should be returning home tomorrow from Lajes,
routing via: DOVEY - ACK - HTO - RIFLE - EMJAY - SWL.

Hope this helps,

René.

I could be mistaken, I read a two-hour Amazon rocket launch window is scheduled starting 7 p.m. EDT Monday, April 28, 2025 from the Cape.

Well clear skies here but if they launch on time (versus way late into their window) - it will not be visible due to sun being above the horizon.

Pushed launch back one minute at 7:01 PM.. Was hoping to see maybe smoky contrail or reflection of shiny Sats.
Will try and take a look anyway :) Lot of clouds down Florida way but crystal clear here.

Yeah nice launch on the tube but nothing seen here. :(

Just the trail from the 1st stage and 5 SRBs visible in the South Southwest sky - nothing after it was above the earths atmosphere.

Been a lot better if the sun was already down.

Thanks. Looks like the second cell got airborne but 2 F-35s had to return back to Guam. Not having much luck. Callsign confirmed as PINE on CPDLC.

0937 local Getting weak Boom chatter on Altrav 314.100 coming up the coast occasionally showing as KANZA-25.
Now they are doing trivia on boom freq :)
Fighter is showing miscode ID (20000). Seen F-15E's in Europe use the ID callsign at times.
Maybe F-15E depot return. Moving along fast at 510 knots.

Maybe the next two LN F-15E;s with new defense system EPAWSS after some Tyndall testing.
