Navy football at home tomorrow at noon so with govt shutdown over looks like a pregame flyover.

From Naval Academy Sports website..
• 11:46:30 am - National Anthem. If the government shutdown ends in time, there will be a fly-over (it was trending in a positive way at the time this was written). Saturday’s fly-over will feature 2 F/A-18E Super Hornets from the “Blue Blasters” of VFA-34, based out of Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia. Piloting the lead aircraft will be Cmdr. Jason Pallotta, USNA Class of 2007. The wing aircraft will be piloted by Lt. Mitchell “Zohan” Pendleton, Class of ‘19. Providing ground control and support will be Cmdr. Peter Daniels, Class of ‘08.

VFA-34 normal squadron callsign is JOKER.
AF-2 #98-0002 departing for Tennessee.

Mark,

If USNA graduate from 2019 is only a Lt. and the 2007 graduate is a Cmdr the 2019 graduate must a "bad boy".

Yeah normally in USAF and US Army if after 5 years in service you don't achieve certain rank promotions
they let you go.. My nephew who graduated from West Point and after 5 years service failed to be promoted to where he
wanted or Army wanted him so he moved on to private sector and got even more education and is doing fine.
Maybe things are different these days course Navy F/18 skilled pilots are hard to come by so this guy got second chance :)

In that movie Ike Gen Eisenhower in the 1920's in the Army remarked he was close to washing out as a Lt Col in the Army material system as his career had stalled... You never know!

Latest vid from PR of MQ-9 Reaper launching with 4 hellfire missiles.. Some interesting CBP aircraft as well.
CBP types are regulars down there but a few more than normal these days.Course usual Fed Ex island hoppers.
Watch 7 min in and the MQ-9 test rotates that nose camera after startup :)
