Interesting route back to DC even with storms over NC/VA for AF1 who is no longer on ADSBx and has had no acars since departure.

View attachment 178381
Got him back on and gonna fly right over the precip to clear DC.
Noticed today that C-17's/C-130's to MUGM were all using that same AR-202 track down and back.

Just saw some of those videos of Delta flight Toronto crash and that plane hit the runway harder
than an F/18 on a carrier.. What caused that remains to be seen.

What are the chances Nighthawk flies POTUS from Andrew to the White House? Will be interesting to see if DCA Tower holds civilian traffic given the updated NOTAM. ADS-B Exchange - track aircraft live
That notam has been updated for over a week and when POTUS left DC last week they did hold all traffic. It was only updated today from 5/9909 to update TFR Dimensions

Your link is blank notam search box post.
Sorry.... This is what I was referring to. Multiple NOTAMS on the same issue with overlapping dates... It's possible I misunderstood (not a good sign), It is possible that all of the co-ordinates given just delineate things a little more clearly.
Thanks
Joel

That Owners group is always complaining about something.. They are never happy about anything flying.

See DC has modified their permanent TFR for Potomac River area..
Last paragraph basically says no more choppers over the Potomac unless an emergency and No Civy fixed wings
or choppers over Potomac while Mil or Presidential or Law aircraft are running.Assume this is result of that chopper plane collison.
5/4379 NOTAM Details
I just looked at it again, and that paticular NOTAM has an end date also... 31Mar2025.

Ok.... Think I got it now...

Thanks
Joel

Is there changes coming to the manufacturer of the next AF1, is the US ready to buy a used plane as AF1? Trump talked about it on the way back from Miami tonight...

"No, I'm not happy with Boeing. It takes them a long time to do, you know, Air Force One we gave that contract out a long time ago. It was a fixed price contract. And I'm not happy with the fact that it's taken so long. And we may do something else, we may go out, buy a plane, or get a plane or something. But I'm not happy with the fact that it's taken over so long. There's no excuse for it. I need to push for your preferred you know, they had a fixed price contract and made that deal, and now they supposedly, they're losing a lot of money, and they'd like to see if they could up the price. But I make fixed price deals. I don't like time and material deals.

They're the only other commercial aircraft maker that could make one I believe that is Airbus, would you consider?

No, I would not consider Airbus, no, but I could buy one that was used and converted. I could buy one from another country, perhaps, or get one from another country. So we're looking at other alternatives, because it's taken by too long, but you can push for your memory it was supposed to be finished like, years ago. Yeah, years ago. Don't forget. I signed that contract during my term. It was a very good contract, and I took like a billion six off the price, and was supposed to be done quickly

Yes you can blame it all on Boeing and they deserve most of the blame as aircraft will be 5 years+ late but from what I read seems every
govt Mil Pentagon/ various defense contractors wanted their own special gear added on those 2 planes so back to the drawing boards again.
Thats what happens when you over design a plane.. Who is in charge of the final package?
Can you just imagine the wiring diagrams :(?

Wasn't there a documentary we talked about that showed some of the wiring?

Saw him earlier today Ron over fly my house at 800 feet.. Very rare to get CH-47's out my way.
Just love the sound of a Chinook overhead :)
Had Chinook CONVOY 92 out of Weide come my way over NJ 2 days ago then landed at New London Airport, CT where there is an Army maintenance group. Maybe some kind of maintenance? Then later in the day, flew back to Weide.

Dover C-5M #83-1285 delivered several Apache choppers to the UK a few weeks ago as RCH-2014.
Tricky birds to offload.. Rotor blades first off.

The SS United States liner now showing being towed Southbound off Ocean City MD by tug Vinik No. 6
