Seems finally the Ace of Spades VMA-231 AV-8B guys are done. Been a long wind down past year with last
demos, flyovers even working ranges up our way etc. On to the F-35B next.
Wonder if they run most of them out to DM or send some more off to museums etc.

Going to miss catching the Harriers flying low in VR1046 which runs just behind my house. Hopefully the F35’s take a run a few times a year on that route.

The NAS Wildwood museum where our daughter now works is expecting a AV-8B next week for display. Once here it will be re-assembled and then placed on display.

The Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum, located at Cape May Airport in Lower Township, is preparing to welcome one of the U.S. Marine Corps’ most iconic aircraft: an AV-8B Harrier II+ (Bureau Number 164554).

This battle-hardened jet isn’t just another static display—it’s a veteran of 219 combat missions and 755 combat flight hours across multiple U.S. military campaigns.

The Harrier, known for its unique ability to take off and land vertically like a helicopter, will arrive at NASW by truck on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 4th, depending on transport logistics.

VAQ-144 stopped into Wright-Patterson AFB earlier for fuel as NAVY AB-500 (x2) and NAVY AB-502 (x3). Departed to KLNK as DEVIL 11 and DEVIL 21 flights.
