Which ZNY RCAG uses 269.0? I can't find that freq listed for ZNY.
269.000 is a New York TRACON (N90) frequency. On the handoff the SLAMs were at 17000 feet, which is the ceiling of the TRACON in that area.

I remembered (old age is hell) that I heard the Slams, when they leaving CAP, tell ZDC Smyrna that they left Barnes under a Scramble flt routing.
If I'm not mistaken, Dogfish is one of the CAP names. Like Oyster, Blue Hen0552 EDT - Active Scramble orders from KBAF to the DOGFISH AIR PATROL (whatever that is ?) .... LiveATC AUDIO
Neg.....its 269.0, been there for years. It might be a local UHF approach to Kennedy or LGA. I'll see if I can find the info.Ron, he probably means 269.1
I was out at time but on tape 1445 local heard weak coms TABOR-71 with ZDC self ID as flight of 6.Another cell just departed from RAF Lakenheath to CONUS as TABOR 71, a six-ship. They are up on aux <247.975>.
Hope this helps,
René.
