JUMBO09 out of Dover just flew over the house. Things had been slow in the New Castle skies - was happy to see this aircraft :) He's heading northwest as I type, perhaps for some approach practice at Harrisburg...

This C-5 got almost to Harrisburg, but then banked left and has now arrived in the Charleston SC area. Certainly an odd route...

Hello to all!!

As you know I am not from the aviation world so I have a question.

What does it mean when an aircraft says that it is Alpha 1, Alpha 2.........?

Code 0 - Ground abort.
Code 1 - Aircraft mission capable with no additional discrepancies.
Code 2 - Aircraft or system has minor discrepancies but is capable of further mission assignment within normal turnaround times.
Code 3 - Aircraft or system has major discrepancies in mission essential
equipment that may require extensive repair or replacement prior to further mission assignment. The discrepancy may not affect safety-of-flight and the aircraft may be Not Mission Capable (NMC) flyable.
Code 4 - Aircraft or system has suspected or known radiological, chemical, or biological contamination.
Code 5 - Aircraft or system has suspected or known battle damage.

US Army choppers still grounded.Dont see any flying anywhere in the US.
May be a while for the Army ANG units get flying.. Saw a few Navy/Marine Coast Guard choppers up today.. Guess they are good.

Active-duty units must finish their training by May 5. Army National Guard and Reserve have until May 31 to complete their training.

Status Update on the C-32As: 98-0002 and 99-0004 remain the only two non-PAG C-32s in service. 98-0001 just passed the 1-month mark with L-3 in Greenville Tx. 99-0003 flew today to Greenpoint Technologies in Moses Lake, Wa after their almost two-month mx visit with Delta in Atlanta.

Slow Milair morning, I found this , check out the video --

WOW !! I'd sure like to walk around there and browse.

On a side note. If you're ever down near Eglin AFB make sure to see their museum .Quite an extensive display inside & outside. SR-71, B-52, B-47, Mig-21 and many more.
