WEEK AHEAD GUIDANCE FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 3, 2023 – JULY 7, 2023

Monday, July 3 through Wednesday, July 5, the Vice President is in Los Angeles, CA
On Thursday, July 6, the Vice President will travel to Phoenix, AZ and the Gila River Indian Community
On Friday, July 7, the Vice President is in Washington, DC

POTUS & FLOTUS head back to WH in the morning, M1 to McNair, motorcade to WH.

9:15 AM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY depart Camp David en route to Fort Lesley J. McNair
9:50 AM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY arrive at Fort Lesley J. McNair
10:10 AM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY arrive at the White House

AF Mars is dying out like Army Mars did.. Had local Ham who went thru all that AF Mars training
and after few months had enough and quit them. Too much red tape and protocol..
The Mil really doesn't want to mess with MARS but forced to do so due to some legislation..
One day a year they do exercise with MARS and only cause they have to.

Shaw took over CAP July 1.
A2A so far 228.000, 228.800. 228.900
Confirm tonight second freq headed home after CAP NOBLE-41 A/A 228.800 :)
So far for Shaw CAP duties confirm A/A heard 228.000 and 228.800.
Surprising as many fighters dislike that low 220 band as lots of City,Ham radio interference in this band area.
2100 local NOBLE A/A say push 351.900. wich is ZDC Gordansville..Maybe bad wx helping the coms.

Seems CAP is over as spare tanker TEFLON-51 heads back to McConnell from Griffiss.

Dover AFB C-17's got Marine 1 Chopper delivery duties into UK today.
RCH-4179 #06-6166 and RCH 4151 #06-6167 both recently in from BOE servicing.
That RAF Northolt is typical tricky small English airfield in London and rare for US C-17's.
Dover crews demonstrate reverse thrusters backing in to unload choppers.. Note crewman sitting on aft ramp as rear view mirror,
Today RCH-4151 backing up in the rain 18:50 mark creates water spout in front of the engine.. really cool.
Note HMX-1 chopper cargo support offload train seems they bring their own fuel along as well.

If you look closely, in order to get the helicopter out, they had play with it to keep it from hitting the c-17s ceiling, if you look at 6 min 7 seconds on, you could see how they have the gear extended as high as possible while doing so, a few seconds later they lower the height of its gear, then extend it as much as they can just a little bit further on to keep the helicopter nose from hitting the ground.

they also have the same tug that is pushing the helicopter also towing everything else, at the same time
