Happy Friday folks! I just published at my Aerospace Perceptions website my article about the retirement ceremony for the KC-10 Extender at McGuire, an article which includes interviews with two pilots and a boom operator. There are also a number of photos of "Big Sexy" as well as a few from Operation Centennial Contact. Please drop by if you get a chance. The photo here is Maj Joshua Gorring, who piloted the final KC-10 - nicknamed "Armadillo Express" - to the Boneyard...

Yesterday had DEVIL-11 two A/C F-16's run up there and said after dropping down into VR704 would refuel next over Duke MOAB.
I think they were on that 322.4 as well here.. good freq to use on my recordings.

CAP is up. AR on 231.625. NOBLE concerned about weather in the area...asking about conditions at Atlantic City. Tanker is TEFLN12.
Just heard NOBLE say our term is up technically at midnight Z time and handing off to Shaw next.. That info was posted here last week by member.
Tanker asked him if they were coming back later this weekend on 231.625 and he said nope. we are done after tonight.
So expect Shaw F-16's in CAP starting tomorrow July 1 in early am :) See if they do things any different..

Good evening, (W8BF0) here so I wanted to ask you fine Gents if you could recommend 10 or 20 good VHF or UHF frequencies I might use from my location in Hedgesville WV. I have the SDS200 with a desktop discone located in the loft. I'm kida unsure of the sector that I may be in so not sure other than searching what I might do and since I am working I am limited to time, that being said I have seen multiple C17s and K35r's over head via adsbexchange which is running while I am working in the radio room/computer room.

Thanks in advance.
Will

In case you haven't monitored the Guard Dog CAP previously I thought I would post this as it shows the typical track the tankers take for aerial refueling. Basically it is over , or close to, I-270 from Frederick MD to the District of Columbia --
