Hearing NASA AA on 123.175. One said something about "an anxiety attack" and "head down to the beach". He just mentioned JFK. I'm getting it with 2-3 bars of reception, but I don't see any NASA flights in the area.

ADSB is saying that there is a French C-130 doing Hudson River runs, CTM1409. However it's only going about 130-140 knots.

Annnd you can knock that speculation out the window, EarthCam is showing a C-130, something is also behind it that looked like a helicopter when it got closer.

Looks like it's just another tourist helicopter lol, checked it out on flightradar.

110P local: just noticed that U2 DRAGN78 AE0978 80-1077 took of from Beale AFB in California 30 minutes ago headed for the Oshkosh AirVenture. Their airshow starts at 315P eastern time with the U2 scheduled as the 6th performer (if my memory is right).

118P local: just noticed that DRAGN78 is not showing up on theairtraffic.com or on adsb.fi but does show in adsbexchange.com

[edit] also looks like adsbexchange's display is delayed. The timestamp is about 6 minutes behind realtime with 4 receivers of the U2's signal. 131pm edit: forget the part about delayed display...now it's right on time.

And in other tracking news, DRAGN78 landed 3 weeks ago per flightaware.com..no info on the current flight.

It was on .fi
Both .fi and X are showing recent "last seen" hits but both aren't getting a position.
It actually just popped back up on X towards northeast NV as I type this. .fi just needs more feeder density for MLAT. They're coming though, new feeders every day and some are only just finding out about the sale of X.

DECOY-55, a KMRB based C-17, working PIKESIDE (ops) on 297.9 and landing with a minor fuel link. He is coming back from Mansfield, Ohio, home of the 179th Airlift Wing, a C-130 outfit.

NASA-817 the DC-8 Lab aircraft based at Palmdale came East today to Wright-Pat Ohio.
Read a while back was going to do some atmosphere work out East eventually.

Seems will be replaced with a 20 year old retrofitted B-777-200 for now N774LG getting worked on at Langley.
