Yesterday 7/26, roughly around 1300 local-
Someone on 315.9 said to TOPCAT4 ‘we have a partial hydraulic failure and have to RTB’.
A few minutes later on 251.2 talking to WRI they said ‘we declared an emergency and are landing at Atlantic City so someone will have to come pick us up.’
(I had a few distractions so I missed the exact time and missed their callsign.)

0940- Looks like RQ7BV2 took off from Webster Outlying Field, just south of PAX.

0950- Looks like Team 62 turned around over Norfolk and is heading back home. Team 61 is working off of Cherry Point.

0953- Axeman & Wardog flts (A-10Cs MD ANG) working in PAX areas (270.8/281.8). A2A is 266.6 & 293.3. Also working Raven Ops (139.6)

C-5M Super Galaxy MEEK02 out of KDOV flew over the house, now at noon EDT he's approaching the Buffalo NY area. Not such a hot shot - lots of haze and atmospheric distortion in this humid, humid air. If fact, he disappeared from sight completely about five seconds after I shot this.

new one for me on 290.900 "Lakehurst runway 24" ...
I had this marked in my older notes as McGuire GCA but a quick check of Airnav, I don't see it.

The Chart Supplement for N-E U.S. dated June 15 to August 10 shows for KWRI McGuire AFB/Lakehurst "Arr sector for IFR radar pattern when open is 120.25/290.9"

Sounds like TAN or SAM to me
Sounds like FAN-1 flight to me :) Had another weird callsign this afternoon.
1617 local sounds like DIRECT-21 self-id as flight of 2 F-16's enroute VR-1709 (wherever that is near Cape May?))
we are at 8k and will start drop down to 1500k at the range in 5-10 miles push 281.800 (Pax Appch)
Atlantic City F-16's have strange callsigns these days.
